Ariel is a Chicago-based ABA therapist originally from Iowa City, IA. She moved to Chicago and attended Columbia College Chicago and The Second City’s Conservatory. After graduating with a Bachelor of Art’s degree, she came across ABA therapy after nannying for years throughout high school and college. As an ABA therapist, Ariel enjoys the opportunity to provide one-on-one ABA therapy in various settings including home and school.
Prior to joining the SBS team, Ariel worked with kids, pre-teenage, and teenage individuals with various diagnoses such as down syndrome, PICA, intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder, TBI, fetal alcohol syndrome, ODD and genetic disorders. Ariel’s theater and comedy studies background has helped her immensely in sessions when it comes to her ability to play and connect with children and non-verbal clients, alike. She is also a seasoned improviser who problem solves, keeps calm under pressure, and can think on her feet.
Fun fact: Ariel loves to watch movies and aims to watch 100 new films each year. As of December 2024, she has seen 2,457 films in her lifetime, her favorite being Princess Bride.
