Brendan Birmingham

BCBA

Brendan is a BCBA from Wilmette, IL. He started his journey with SBS back in 2019 as a behavior therapist. After graduating from the University of Portland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology he went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. In January of 2025, he took a promotion as a BCBA.
Brendan’s initial passion for teaching was realized after spending a year a an English teacher for a Japanese junior high school in Yokohama. Upon returning stateside in 2017, Brendan discovered the field of applied behavior analysis which sparked his interest in the application of evidence-based research to create meaningful changes in the lives of children with autism.
As a BCBA, Brendan is motivated to provide the same level of enthusiasm, dedication, creativity, and compassion as he did as a behavior therapist. Brendan is passionate about providing quality, long-lasting services that promote independence and self-advocacy for the child while supporting the parents and family.
Fun Fact: Brendan and his four siblings were all adopted
