Lauren is a Chicago-based board certified behavior analyst originally from Park Ridge, Illinois. Lauren graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in Cross-Categorical Special Education; she then taught as a special education teacher for five years in the North Chicago region. Throughout her teaching years, Lauren received Early Childhood Education endorsement, as well as attended Ball State University where she received a Master of Art’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. While earning this degree, she was grateful to earn a role as an ABA therapist with SBS in 2020 where she fell in love with the clients, as well as the company.
Lauren’s passion has always been helping children grow to their highest potential in a nurturing way. She began working with children when she was in high school by teaching them how to ice skate. During one of her ice skating sessions, she had a participant with autism and knew that her passion would soon become teaching children with all different needs. As a special education teacher, Lauren had the opportunity to implement ABA practices and ideals in her classrooms on a daily basis, which sparked her interest in pursuing ABA further.
Lauren truly enjoys spending time with children and discovering what makes them unique. She is passionate about finding ways to connect with each child, and along with the support of evidence-based interventions, she is able to guide them in reaching their individual goals.
Fun Fact: Lauren loves to try new restaurants all over the Chicagoland area, and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her dog, Siggy.
